Avsoft International has developed a custom Embraer 145 (EMB-145) aircraft systems course for Piedmont Airlines, a subsidiary of American Airlines Group. The course was tailored to align with Piedmont’s specific manuals and procedures and has been implemented on the airline’s Learning Management System (LMS).
Piedmont Airlines chose Avsoft to create and deploy the EMB-145 course on its own LMS, showcasing Avsoft’s ability to deliver flexible, client-focused training solutions. The collaboration aimed to enhance training consistency and efficiency while meeting Piedmont’s operational needs. Fleet Captain Mike Herrmann shared his thoughts on the project:
“Avsoft’s EMB-145 course did not just create training efficiencies; it set the environment for a more consistent and more standardized learning experience for training our pilots. Avsoft’s writing and technical support was professional and responsive. They assisted the training department to customize a sizable portion of the material to match our manuals and procedures and set it up on our Learning Management System. It has been a win-win for Piedmont and has helped evolve our ground school into a more efficient and robust program.”
This project highlights the importance of tailoring training materials to meet the unique needs of aviation organizations, ensuring consistent and effective learning for pilots. For Piedmont Airlines, this involved customizing course content to align with their operational manuals and procedures while maintaining the highest standards of aviation training.
