Indra developed the first Full Flight Simulator (FFS) for the H145 helicopter. Working in collaboration with Airbus Helicopters, this simulator has the highest qualification for Flight Simulator Training devices, meaning one hour of training corresponds to one hour of flight in the real helicopter.

H145, developed by Airbus Helicopters, is a flexible helicopter designed for use in mission types from law enforcement to emergency medical services.

The FFS is currently installed at the Airbus Helicopter training academy in Donauwörth, Germany, near the manufacturer of the H145. The system also became the first simulator to earn a Level D qualification from Germany’s Civil Aviation Authority.

A Level D qualification means that it accurately replicates the real helicopter, providing realistic training without leaving the ground. A pilot could potentially complete a required adaption course with Zero Flight Time, where they never practice in the real thing. It offers training in a variety of settings and weather conditions as well.

Indra previously installed the EC135 helicopter simulator at the Donauwörth center and Coronel Maté Army Base for the Spanish Army.
