The People’s Liberation Army (PLA) and Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) are training together in the sixth edition of the bilateral Exercise Cooperation in central China's Henan Province. Zhang Xiaogang, a spokesperson for China’s Defence Ministry said the upcoming exercise, will focus on urban joint Counter-Terrorism (CT) operations.

Troops from PLA’s Central Theatre Command-Army’s 81st Army Group will train alongside the SAF's 3rd Singapore Division and 1st Commando Battalion.

The exercises will feature a battalion-level Command Post and Field Training exercise, as well as professional exchanges on CT operations in support of a rescue scenario. Troops from both sides will also engage in tactical drills, small-arms live firing, and cohesion activities.
