Aero Simulation Inc. (ASI) was awarded a contract under the CH-53E Baseline Configuration Upgrade (BCU) Program by the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD).

The company will deliver a new CH-53E Containerized Flight Training Device at the Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Futenma, Japan, alongside modifying the CH-53E CFTD 2F220 at MCAS Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.

This follows two other CH-53E programs with ASI over the past ten years. ASI has updated CH-53E Aircrew Procedures Trainer (APT) in Futenma, and developed a new Flight Training Device (FTD), which was delivered to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst New Jersey.
