Elbit Systems and Metropolitan State University announced a new cyber training and simulation center at the Saint Paul, Minnesota campus. The new facility will be powered by Cyberbit Range, a product from the Elbit Systems subsidiary Cyberbit.
This symbiotic relationship will see Elbit Systems provide the hardware, software and technical expertise to operate the training and simulation environment, while Metropolitan State will provide the facilities and instructors. The training program and Cyber Range is expected to open in spring of 2018.
“This agreement brings a cutting-edge cybersecurity, simulation-based training center to Metropolitan State University and to the State of Minnesota," said Virginia Arthur, president of Metropolitan State University. “The new Cyber Range training facility, with its advanced cybersecurity curriculum, combined with Metropolitan State's business, education and government partnerships will effectively help to ensure that many more Minnesotans are fully prepared to meet the demands of 21st-century jobs.”
Cyberbit Range is a cybersecurity training and simulation platform, currently training and certifying thousands of cybersecurity professionals in training centers around the world, from Switzerland and Japan to France and Singapore. Trainees operate in real-life settings by replicating their network setup, using their actual security tools and simulating their typical network traffic.
This partnership is bringing the platform to Metropolitan State’s campus and cybersecurity program.
