AVT Simulation (Applied Visual Technology) won a U.S. Army Contracting Command contract for Close Combat Tactical Trainer (CCTT) Post Deployment, Software Support (PDSS) through 2023. The CCTT PDSS contract supports the world’s largest ground combat simulation training platform for the Abrams Main Battle Tank, Bradley Fighting Vehicle, High Mobility Multi-Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) and the variations of each.

The CCTT is a computer-driven, manned-module simulator that replicates the vehicle interiors of close-combat units. The Army uses it at training facilities around the world to let soldiers practice convoy, resupply and counter-IED (improvised explosive device) maneuvers in 3D virtual environments, all without using real fuel, live ammunition or expensive equipment.
