The full line-up of keynote speakers for ITEC 2019 has now been finalised. Delegates will hear keynote speakers address the topical issues facing their respective communities, with an emphasis on the global emerging defence and security challenges in 2019 and beyond. Sweden has published its 2016-2020 defence and security strategy that encapsulates many of these global challenges, but also highlights they key areas that are and will affect Sweden's future.
The ITEC conference will commence with a keynote address from Major General Karl Engelbrektson, Chief of the Swedish Army. General Engelbrektson will then join a panel comprising of Dr. Frank DiGiovanni, deputy directory Expeditionary Warfare Division, US DoD; Dr. Raed Arafat, Secretary of State - Head of the Department for Emergency Situations, Ministry of Internal Affairs - Romania; Dan Eliasson, Director General, Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB); Hans Lindgren, Head of Business Development - Training and Simulation, Saab AB - Sweden.
Discussions and presentations will focus on the conference theme "Interoperable by Design: connecting people, technology, and nations".
