Ernst & Young LLP (EY) announced that Waymon Armstrong,CEO/president of Engineering & Computer Simulations (ECS), is a finalistfor the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2019 Award in Florida. The program recognizesentrepreneurs and leaders of high-growth companies who excel in areas such asinnovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businessesand communities. Armstrong, and other notable Florida business leaders, wereselected by a panel of independent judges. Award winners will be announced at aspecial gala on June 13 in Orlando, Florida.

This is Armstrong’s fifth time being recognized as afinalist for the Florida Entrepreneur Of The Year Award. He was also honored in2018, 2017, 2009, and 2007.

Now in its 33rd year, the EY program has expanded torecognize business leaders in more than 145 cities and more than 60 countriesthroughout the world. Regional award winners are eligible for consideration forthe Entrepreneur Of The Year National competition. The award winners in severalnational categories, as well as the Entrepreneur Of The Year National OverallAward winner, will be announced at the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Awardsgala in Palm Springs, California, on November 16. The awards are theculminating event of the Strategic Growth Forum. The Entrepreneur Of The YearNational Overall Award winner then moves on to compete for the EY WorldEntrepreneur Of The Year Award in Monaco in June 2020.
