blackshark.ai is releasing Version 2.0 of its terrain generation platform at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation, and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) 2024 in Orlando, Florida, from 2-6 December. This platform is designed to create high-fidelity 3D representations of the Earth, integrating various geospatial data sources to deliver accurate and dynamic digital environments.

The updated platform incorporates features such as global feature detection, which allows users to train and deploy AI models for feature identification across any location. It also supports intelligent data fusion, combining satellite imagery, terrain models, GIS vectors, and other geospatial inputs to create comprehensive 3D terrain models.

Version 2.0 introduces enhancements for simulation, including tools for customizing terrain and airport features. Users can adjust building types, textures, and environmental attributes to align simulations with specific requirements. Photorealistic nighttime environments have also been added, using global streetlight and nightlight maps to enhance realism.

The platform now supports integration of third-party geospatial data, allowing for the inclusion of external satellite imagery, aerial photographs, and GIS datasets. Offline data storage capabilities ensure secure and efficient deployment, making the platform suitable for scenarios requiring high data integrity.

Additional updates include real-time collision calculations for large-scale scenarios and improved physics-based sensor simulation for EO/IR and NVG training. The no-code environment facilitates rapid training of machine learning models, enabling users to create custom tools for object detection and semantic segmentation.

blackshark.ai’s 3D digital twin capabilities allow for the creation of realistic environments for various applications, with seamless integration into platforms such as Unreal Engine, Unity, NVIDIA's Omniverse, and others. The platform's compatibility with multiple simulation formats ensures broad usability.

Attendees can explore the capabilities of blackshark.ai’s terrain generation platform at Booth 3001 during I/ITSEC 2024. Demonstrations will highlight its potential applications across multiple industries and training environments.
