U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit 8, along with Mobile Diving and Salvage Company 2-3, partnered with NATO Allies at Sea Breeze 24-3, a multinational exercise focused on addressing maritime mine threats in the Black Sea.

Led by U.S. 6th Fleet, the exercise strengthens regional security and enhances interoperability among partner nations. Participating countries included Bulgaria, Türkiye, Ukraine, and others, working together to develop advanced mine countermeasure techniques and maritime safety initiatives. The exercise also involved critical training in harbor clearance and battle damage repair. This ongoing collaboration highlights the importance of collective action in ensuring freedom of navigation. Navy EOD's expertise in mine warfare will play a vital role in future sea control efforts.
