The National Center for Simulation (NCS) has unveiled the election results for its 2025 board of directors.
Robert Abascal, founder and chief strategic officer of AVT Simulation and Dolly Glass, director of marketing at Mass Virtual, have been newly elected to the NCS board for the 2025-2028 term. Angela Alban, president & CEO of SIMETRI; Dan Ketchen, founder of Technology Associates and Products; Bill “Roto” Reuter, president at R-Squared Solutions and Janet Spruill, executive vice president at Aptima have been re-elected.
Abascal's extensive experience spans over 30 years in the development and lifecycle support of simulator systems. He started his career in visual systems engineering and computer programming, working with aerospace companies like General Dynamics, Bell Helicopter, Lockheed Martin, and Evans & Sutherland. In 1998, he founded AVT Simulation, further establishing his expertise in the field.
With over 10 years of experience in marketing, advertising and event planning, Glass has dedicated her efforts in the modeling, simulation and training industry, including events such as the Central Florida Navy League (CFNL) Ball and the NCS’s Hall of Fame, and Business 2 Business events and support to several charitable foundations.
George Cheros, president and CEO of NCS, says, “On behalf of the entire board, it is my distinct pleasure to extend a warm welcome to our two new board members. Your experience, vision, and dedication will be invaluable as we continue to steer this organization toward growth and success. We are excited to collaborate with you and look forward to the fresh perspectives and insights you will bring. We had fifteen candidates for this election, which is a record. All candidates brought very impressive backgrounds, and I thank them for their desire to serve NCS.”
Alban, Ketchen, Reuter, and Spruill return to the board for another three-year term.
NCS COO Dr. Neal Finkelstein added, “The four individuals who have been re-elected to the board have all been active members of the modeling, simulation and training space for some time now. I am looking forward to their continued positive impact in the future. All of them have experience that equips them to contribute meaningfully to our community.”
