Aechelon Technology, Inc. has acquired Compro Computer Services' Radar Simulation Division, based in Dallas,Texas. The transaction includes Compro’s Radar Toolkit (RTK), along with all associated assets, contracts, software, and intellectual property.

The acquisition enhances Aechelon’s capabilities in radar simulation technology, building on existing programs. By retaining all personnel, offices, and infrastructure from the division, Aechelon ensures continuity while integrating new resources and expertise. This strategic investment aims to drive significant advancements in radar simulation, delivering value to both Aechelon’s and Compro’s clients.

Aechelon continues to support third-party radar simulation solutions through its Radar Data Generators (RDGs), utilizing Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standards to  address a wide range of program needs.

Aechelon and Compro’s radar teams have enjoyed a longstanding partnership, working together on numerous successful projects to deliver high-fidelity radar simulation systems with precise 1:1 correlation of EO/IR and radar databases for U.S. and allied military programs. The newly-established Radar Division within Aechelon will build on this foundation, leveraging these synergies with even deeper integration and enhanced capabilities.

Aechelon plans to tightly integrate the RTK with its own GPU-based RDG products. This integration will enable improved radar simulation capabilities at a lower cost, smaller hardware footprint and faster delivery times, expanding the use cases and accessibility of advanced Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) technology including on-board live applications.

“The impact of combining Aechelon’s top-tier GPU-based computation solutions and global multi-spectral databases with the industry’s best radar simulation engineers is poised to drive unprecedented innovation in radar simulation,” said Nacho Sanz-Pastor, Co-Founder and CEO of Aechelon Technology Inc.

Kevin Beck, Co-owner and VP of Business Development at Compro Computer Services, added, “This is a landmark transaction that builds on our deepening relationship with Aechelon across multiple markets. We look forward to continued collaboration that will enhance our products and services through the synergy between our existing products and programs, our radar division engineers and their new home at Aechelon.”

This is Aechelon’s first acquisition since receiving an investment from Sagewind Capital in August 2024.
