Fremont Health and  Midland University opened a new million-dollar Simulation Laboratory at Freemont Health that will provide hands-on learning for nursing students, Fremont Health staff and healthcare professionals in the Freemont, Nebraska area.

The simulation lab offers a practice environment that features human-patient manikins let nursing students practice skills, techniques, communication, problem solving and critical thinking in a safe environment. It also offers new learning experiences for current nurses, physicians, technicians and other individuals who support patient care.

“The opportunities for advanced training in simulation are many,” said Peg Kennedy Vice President and Chief Nurse Executive at Fremont Health. “This kind of learning environment emphasizes improving quality, safety, and overall experiences for our patients.”
