Vietnam's air traffic controllers will be selected and trained by the internationally established arm of Airways New Zealand, thanks to an agreement recently signed in Hanoi. Graduates of the six-month programme will be employed by the Vietnam Air Traffic Management (VATM) Corporation which manages the country's air traffic from Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Da Nang.

Airways will select the students in Vietnam using its SureSelect process, which clearly identifies those applicants most likely to succeed as air traffic controllers.
