FlightSafety International has announced that Ted Bowlds has been named chief information officer ad Joe Warakomski has been promoted to deputy CIO.
Ted has more than three decades of experience leading strategy, planning, administration and organizational development for commercial and military organizations. He is highly experienced in the development of information technology systems and processes, cyber research and engineering management. Prior to joining FlightSafety Ted worked as a consultant to the aerospace industry.
He servced in the United States Air Force for over 30 years and retired as a Lieutenant General. His responsibilities included Commander and Chief Executive Officer of the Electronic Systems Center and Air Force Research Laboratories. Ted was also Deputy for Acquisition at the Aeronautical Systems Center, and Program Executive Officer for Airlift and Trainers.
Joe joined FlightSafety in 2005 as Business Systems Security manager. He was promoted to director, Information Security in 2008. Joe became managing director, Business Systems in 2012 and has led FlightSafety's technology and digital strategy as executive director of Information Technology since 2014
