Atlantic Flight Training Academy (AFTA) has successfully completed the training of a further seven cadets to join Air Astana's fleet of Airbus A320/321 and Boeing 767 wide body aircraft at their Almaty and Astana bases in Kazakhastan. All training was completed in record time, two months ahead of scheduled completion time, at AFTA's base at Cork International Airport.

Captain Talgat Akhmetov, Chief Liaison officer for Air Astana cadets at AFTA said: "We are delighted to see the cadets complete their training in record time and to the consistent standard delivered by AFTA. We see the advantages of training in one location with European weather and a very high standard of radio discipline and training standards addressing the core competencies required to operate in the advanced environment of a multi crew cockpit of a modern airliner. The training environment at Cork is superb and the students are exposed to a complex ATC envronment from the commencement of their training which instils a high level of discipline. I would like to thank  the cadets for all their hard work and commitment to the course. These cadets are a credit to Air Astana and to Kazakhstan. We are delighted to see them returning to the airline to join their respective fleet."
