Venyo has finalised a deal to provide Primera Air’s facility in Copenhagen, Denmark, with a Boeing 737NG fixed based simulator (FBS).
The simulator, which features an aircraft-specific shell and flight deck as well as a Q4 Services collimated visual system, will be installed at the beginning of next year. Primera Air expects to have the FBS ‘ready for training’ by the end of the first quarter.
The carrier, which currently has 20 Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft on order, will use the new simulator from Venyo to support its growing fleet.
Fabrice Cornet, CEO of Venyo, stated, “We are delighted that Primera Air has chosen one of our high-fidelity and highly reliable training devices. It has always been our firm belief that an EASA FTD Level 2 fixed based device can be a cost-effective solution for training tasks that do not require an expensive full flight simulator.”
Jan Packert, Director of Primera Air’s ATO, Head of Training & NP Crew Training, commented, “We are all very excited about the arrival of this state-of-the-art simulator. Such a training device within our walls will allow us to enhance and improve our pilot training programs in addition to what EASA requires.”
Venyo is exhibiting at EATS 2017 on booth #105.
