Graduates of the Airline Pilot career programme run by L3 Commercial Training Solutions (L3 CTS) have been selected to launch their career with Wizz Air.

Having successfully gained an Integrated Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), the chosen graduates will now complete Wizz’s Airbus A320 type rating training at the L3 CTS training centre in Southampton, UK, before beginning a career with the airline. L3 CTS has worked with Wizz to provide airline pilot training and career opportunities for pre-selected aspiring pilots since launching the Wizz Air Cadet programme in 2015. However, this latest announcement introduces further opportunities specifically for pilots graduating from L3’s Integrated ATPL programme.

József Ujhelyi, Chief Flight Operations Officer at Wizz Air, commented, “In 2018, we look forward to receiving our 100th aircraft, as well as creating 1,300 incremental jobs by the end of the year, while continuing to expand our network and increase the number of routes we operate across Europe. Our relationship with L3 CTS represents our commitment to investing in talent to support our strategic growth plan.” “We are delighted to offer our graduating pilots the fantastic opportunity to launch their airline pilot career with Wizz Air, an exciting and growing airline,” stated Robin Glover-Faure, Acting President of L3 CTS. “Opportunities like these illustrate the expanding range of possibilities available to aspiring pilots through our Airline Academy, and we are proud of our ability to support Wizz Air by providing the highest-calibre pilots in the industry.”

L3 CTS is exhibiting at EATS 2017 on booth #504.
