TRU Simulation + Training (TRU) has received an order from China Express Airlines for an Airbus A320 full flight simulator (FFS) and a Bombardier CRJ900 FFS. Both will be Level D qualified by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). They will be installed at China Express Airlines’ new training centre in Chongqing, which will house up to ten full flight simulators in total.
Furthermore, the simulators will be joining an additional CRJ900 FFS which is already in full operation. During a delegate visit earlier this year, the Governor General of Canada visited China Express Airlines’ training centre and flew the carrier's existing CRJ900 simulator.
The new order further underlines TRU’s ongoing expansion in Asia. In September last year, the company received CAAC approval for its Part 142 training centre in China, as well as receiving qualification of its Airbus A320 FFS for Qingdao Airlines and its 737 MAX FFS for Boeing’s Shanghai Campus.
