Cirrus Aviation, a flight training institution, purchased an Alsim AL172 simulator, a replica of the Cessna 172 SP Skyhawk NAVIII aircraft. The simulator features Garmin G1000 avionics and uses Alsim’s High Definition Visual System. It also meets the requirements for U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Flight Training Devices (FTD) level five and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Flight Navigation and Procedures Trainer (FNPT) level two.

Last year Cirrus purchased its first Alsim simulator, an AL250, a certified FAA Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD) that is now integrated into Cirrus’ 141 flight training program.
