L3 Commercial Aviation has been selected to provide training for Air France cadet pilots at the company's L3 European Airline Academy in Portugal. L3 has also been chosen to supply Air France with an Airbus A350 RealitySeven full flight simulator (FFS).
L3 will deliver training for approximately 30 cadet pilots per year as part of its 2018 Cadet Pilot Program. Training will be undertaken at L3 European Airline Academy in Portugal, as well as other training sites in the UK.
The A350 FFS will allow operational synergies with Air France's latest Boeing 787 RealitySeven FFS device, which commenced training in June 2018 as scheduled. The device will be the first A350 FFS with Standard 1.2.0. This will allow an enhanced level of operation for the user, complete with touchscreen display.
