The Aerospace Careers Program (ACP), a UK-based charity dedicated to inspiring young people to pursue careers in aerospace, aviation, and space, has released a new video showcasing its important work.
The session was filmed recently at Colchester County High School for Girls and starts with an introduction to NASA’s Artemis program, before delving into topics such as artificial intelligence, robotics, drones, quantum computing, and 3D printing.
These concepts are brought to life through interactive demonstrations, including the use of a Boston Dynamics robot and a replica NASA space suit, making advanced technology accessible and exciting for students.
The ACP, a charity partner of the Halldale Group, was set up to tackle the severe shortage of future engineers in the UK.
The charity identified that one of the main blockages to young people entering the industry is a lack of accurate and relevant information, so they set about on a programme to increase the number of young people undertaking STEM learning and pursuing careers in engineering based industries, especially aerospace, space and aviation, regardless of the specific job.
Learn More About ACPStudents at Colchester County High School also participated in breakout sessions, experimenting with drone flight simulators, virtual reality flight experiences, augmented reality design, and 3D printing.
These hands-on activities encouraged exploration and creativity while deepening their understanding of STEM applications in aerospace.
The video release showcases ACP’s commitment to fostering educational opportunities that increase students' awareness of engineering, aviation, and space sciences. By providing immersive and innovative experiences, ACP aims to inspire the next generation of professionals in these fields.
