Metrea has acquired Intellic Technologies, a company specializing in fire modeling, simulation, and virtual reality tactical training for the aerial firefighting industry.

Intellic Technologies has developed capabilities in fire modeling and simulation, and is currently providing mission-focused VR tactical training services to the U.S. Forest Service and commercial aerial firefighting companies. The integration of Intellic's FS3D simulator into NOR will leverage the complementary strengths of both systems to enhance the realism and fidelity of aerial firefighting tactical training for both existing and future customers.

"Wildfires pose an increasingly serious threat to communities and our way of life," said Steve Kemp (Head of Special Air Missions Group) "The acquisition of Intellic Technologies will allow Metrea to further develop advanced capabilities to combat this challenge, ultimately helping to save lives and property."

"We are excited to join forces with Metrea and contribute our expertise in fire modeling and simulation to their developing aerial firefighting solutions," said Ryan A Becker (Former CEO of Intellic Technologies) "Together, we will be able to deliver even more effective training tools to those on the front lines of wildfire suppression."
