WiAT Session EATS 2024

The first round of nominations for the TOP 100 Women in Aerospace & Aviation to Follow on LinkedIn 2025 has been processed, revealing a diverse group of professionals spanning 33 countries, with notable representation from the aviation training sector.

Among the distinguished nominees is Veronica Zunic, the sole representative specifically cited for her contributions to aviation training. Her nomination alongside prominent industry figures like Kodey Bogard, known for her work in aviation safety, and Kathryn B Creedy, an acclaimed aviation journalist and member of Women in Aviation Training (WiAT), underscores the growing recognition of training expertise within the broader aerospace community.

WiAT is a Halldale initiative that has helped champion women's representation in aviation training.

The geographical distribution of nominees reflects the global nature of aerospace and aviation, with the United States leading with 39 participants, followed by the United Kingdom and Australia with seven nominees each. European representation is particularly strong, with Italy and Germany each contributing six professionals to the list.

The nominations span an impressive range of specialisations, from aviation safety to space exploration, with unique contributions including expertise in aviation safety for children and space reproductive biotechnology. 

For the training sector, this recognition comes at a pivotal time as the industry continues to evolve with new technologies and methodologies. The presence of training professionals among the nominees reflects the sector's vital role in preparing the next generation of aerospace leaders.

The final rankings are yet to be determined, with the current spotlight order based on nomination submission timestamps. However, the initial round already demonstrates the significant impact women are making across all sectors of aerospace and aviation, particularly in training and safety.
