American Airlines Cadet Academy has added ATP Flight School in Charlotte, North Carolina, to its growing network of training partners. The move supports American’s goal of providing a streamlined path for aspiring pilots to enter commercial aviation. ATP has previously trained over 1,500 pilots who have gone on to fly for American’s regional carriers—Envoy, Piedmont, and PSA.

Cadets at the Charlotte campus will receive airline-focused training with access to advanced simulators, aircraft, and mentorship from American pilots. Financial assistance is also available through the American Airlines Federal Credit Union.

Graduates of the program are guaranteed placement with one of American’s regional carriers, creating a direct path to a mainline career. ATP is expanding its Charlotte facilities to support the partnership, with the first cadet class expected to begin training in August.
