GlobalSim, Inc. unveiled their new Virtual Reality (VR) platform at the I/ITSEC conference in Orlando, Florida. The new platform features some of the latest innovations in VR.

The VR platform compliments GlobalSim's large product lineup of simulators which range from desktop units to multi-display full mission platforms and massive projector-based dome systems.

"VR is an exciting technology," said GlobalSim president Jonathan McCurdy, "but there have been some challenges in the past. One limitation has been the inability to see your own hands in the virtual environment. It's difficult to train someone on a piece of equipment if they can't see their own hands and feel the controls as they would in a real-life scenario. Our engineers have now solved that problem - operators can now see their hands and the controls in the virtual world just as they would in the real world. The accuracy and realism is superb."
