The NATO Helicopter Management Agency (NAHEMA) has contracted Reiser Simulation and Training GmbH (RST) for the NH90 NTH Maintenance Training Rig.

The maintenance training rig, or MTR, is an exact, non-flying replica of the German NH90 NTH “Sea Lion.” The rig will be used to train maintenance and onboard technical personnel on mechanical and avionics systems.

This training approach will help to give crews more hands on training, without having to work in a real helicopter, eliminated costly mistakes as a risk.

MTR can replicate more than 1000 maintenance tasks, such as the removal, repair and installation of serviceable parts. For the first time ever, a fully functional cockpit allows maintenance training on avionics, electrical systems and flight control systems.
