Inaugural-Indo-Egypt-Joint-Training-Exercise-Concludes

The Indian and Egyptian armies have concluded the inaugural edition of Exercise Cyclone-I, in which Special Forces (SF) units trained together in India over a two week period.

The exercises were held in the Indian city of Jaisalmer in Rajasthan with participating SF units undertaking counter terrorism, reconnaissance, raids and other special operations in desert terrain. Both sides also shared information on weapons, equipment, innovations, tactics, techniques & procedures.

Participating troops also trained in sniping, combat free fall, reconnaissance, surveillance & target designation. Exercise participants undertook joint planning and drills for SF operations in a mechanised warfare setting as well as surgical strikes on terrorist camps/hideouts.
