Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM) is conducting the sixteenth Schriever Wargame at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. The Schriever Wargame scenario, set in the year 2033, will explore critical space issues and investigate the integration activities of multiple agencies associated with space systems and services within a multi-domain environment. Schriever Wargame 2023 (SW 23) will include international partners from Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.

The STARCOM Wargaming team will conduct this wargame on behalf of Space Training and Readiness Command, headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Approximately 350 military and civilian experts from more than 27 commands and agencies around the country, as well as seven international partners will participate in the Wargame.

This particular iteration of the wargame is centered on creating shared understandings for international engagement, aligning coalition efforts to synchronize operations and provide a resilient space architecture. The SW 23 scenario seeks to achieve strategic goals through multi-domain operations. It will include a global scenario with an operational focus on one region. The scenario will also include multi-domain operating environments to challenge leaders, planners, and space system operators, as well as the capabilities they employ.

U.S. commands and agencies participating in Schriever Wargame 2023 include the following: U.S. Space Command, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, U.S. Cyber Command, U.S. Special Operations Command, U.S. Strategic Command, Air Combat Command, Army Futures Command, North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command, Joint Staff, Department of State, Department of Commerce, National Reconnaissance Office, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, and other Intelligence Community (IC) organizations, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Army and Naval War Colleges.
