Babcock has been awarded a second contract by NATO’s Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) to provide expert advice on wargaming activities. Based in Stavanger, Norway, the contract involves supporting the design, delivery, and management of professional wargames for strategic and operational participants across NATO’s command headquarters.

Wargaming is a vital tool for military strategists, providing a safe-to-fail environment for testing and enhancing defence preparedness. It also enhances headquarters’ command, control, and decision-making processes.

Jo Rayson, Babcock’s Managing Director for Training, said: “Wargaming is critical for developing military strategies and maximising battle readiness – and as a leading provider of individual and collective military training, Babcock is ideally suited to support NATO as it evolves its wargaming offering.”

As one of the largest providers of training to the British Armed Forces, this latest NATO contract follows Babcock's recent award of a five-year agreement to provide subject matter experts for JWC exercise play functions.
