Experts from NATO’s Modelling and Simulation Group (NMSG) took part in the 2025 Simulation Innovation Workshop (SIW), hosted by the Simulation Interoperability Standards Organization (SISO). They contributed to developing open standards vital for NATO’s modeling and simulation interoperability.

Through a Technical Cooperation Agreement, standardized products adopted via STANAGs and STANRECs have been implemented within NATO. NMSG Chair Bharat Patel addressed the SISO plenary on key challenges in modelling and simulation. Workshops also featured presentations on related research and advancements.
