U.S. and Republic of Korea (ROK) Marines successfully concluded Freedom Shield 25, a large-scale training exercise aimed at enhancing joint operations, strengthening military coordination, and improving combat readiness. The exercise brought together forces from both nations to conduct high-intensity training, including air assault planning, amphibious operations, and command and control refinement.

"Freedom Shield 25 was the perfect venue to demonstrate the strength of the combined U.S. and ROK Marine Corps team," said Lt. Gen. Roger Turner, commanding general of III Marine Expeditionary Force. "These exercises allow us to refine our tactics, strengthen our bonds, and rehearse our response to potential threats.”

While Freedom Shield 25 has concluded, the Korean Marine Exercise Program (KMEP) will continue throughout the year, providing additional opportunities for joint training. These ongoing exercises reinforce the long-standing alliance between the two nations and ensure both Marine forces remain highly capable and ready to respond to regional security challenges.
