Epic Flight Academy is now accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) for its flight training programs and aviation maintenance technician (AMT) training program in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Epic has undergone a years-long self-assessment with students and staff to achieve this accreditation.

Founder and CEO Danny Perna said, “Both staff and students are to be credited for their commitment and dedication to this achievement. Although Epic already holds FAA Part 141 and Part 147 certification, meeting the standards at ACCSC adds another dimension. The benefits of self-evaluation and accountability impact our commitment to quality and continuous improvement.”

Director of education Cindy Lovell added, “The U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) both recognize ACCSC. Epic’s decision to pursue ACCSC accreditation was voluntary. Epic leadership decided this was in our students’ best interests, and we look forward to meeting and exceeding standards as we go forward.”

Epic students work toward careers as pilots and aircraft mechanics. Epic Flight Academy has been in operation since 1999.
