Force Technology is supplying its SimFlex4 augmented reality (AR) solution as part of an extensive upgrade for Smartship Australia, a maritime simulation and training facility in Queensland, according to Marine Link.

Smartship's Brisbane facility, established in 2011, has been integral to major port development projects in Queensland and extends services to Australia and international clients. The ongoing upgrade, initiated in October 2023, involves integrating an augmented-reality (AR) simulator in Q1 2024.

This simulator leverages FORCE Technology’s forthcoming DEN-Mark2 mathematical model, ensuring accuracy and improved line forces calculations, especially beneficial for tugboat operations and advanced mooring studies.
