Uzbekistan is set to establish a state-of-the-art medical simulation training centre in Termez, funded by a 13.5 million euro grant from Germany's KfW Bank.
The facility, which will include a student dormitory, will be equipped with modern simulation technology and information systems to enhance medical training capabilities in the region.
The development comes as part of a broader healthcare modernisation initiative in Uzbekistan, with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasising the critical importance of training qualified medical professionals who can effectively utilise new medical technologies.
The simulation centre will play a vital role in achieving this objective, providing hands-on training opportunities for healthcare practitioners.
President Mirziyoyev has highlighted that while equipment acquisition is essential, the preparation of skilled medical personnel remains a crucial priority.
The new training facility will help address this need by offering advanced simulation-based learning experiences for doctors and nurses, ensuring they develop practical skills in a risk-free environment before treating patients.
