infoWERK has become a member of the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA), enabling them to join a group of more than 700 aircraft operators and aviation experts, among them corporate and commercial operators, manufacturers, airports, fixed-base operators, and more, with a total fleet of more than 1,000 aircraft.

With our more than 30 years of expertise in Aviation eLearning, infoWERK will be sharing learning solutions for hybrid teaching or meetings to EBAA members to the highest standards required by the dynamic and challenging business aviation.

The company also looks forward to joining the upcoming industry event hosted by the EBAA, the EBACE 2023 in Geneva with its own infoWERK booth.

infoWERK has also relaunched the Safety & Human Factors course as well as Aviation Legislation Training with latest regulatory updates and in a new design. This covers the latest Part-145 and Part-CAMO training requirements.

After the introduction of Part CAMO and the requirement for a Safety Management System (SMS) in Part-145 organisations, an extensive update was required for both trainings to be current on the basis of EASA Regulation (EU) No 1321/2014) as published in December 2022.

The combined training will introduce the learners to all elements of Aviation Safety Systems & Human Factors with the intention of providing a better understanding of the subject.

The addition of Annex Vc (Part-CAMO) and 145.A.200 Management System to the Aviation Legislation Trainings ensures that all users receive up to date information as prescribed by the agency.

infoWERK has also been busy in other ways. Working with ZIMEX, a Swiss air operator and aviation service provider and long year customer of infoWERK, have been questioning how they could improve the quality and effectiveness of annual recurrent training. The goal was to focus in the available training time, more on the weak points of each individual flight crew member, while making sure that all required training is covered and knowledge is checked.

To fulfill those requirements, it was decided to move to a competency-based training approach.

This means that the users have the opportunity to review their existing knowledge of a certain topic first, and based on the result, their training content and checking is defined. Known information will not become mandatory for training but is still available for review. Training areas covering new or updated information or where the users were not able to demonstrate their competency must be reviewed and are then checked again. All training and checking is of course documented in detail and allows a review on the training process.

With this new approach, ZIMEX as well as the students can benefit from shorter training times, a more individual approach, tailor-made content for the particular pilot, lower costs and more flexibility.
