Fosen High School in Norway has expanded its partnership with Exail to enhance aviation maintenance training through advanced simulation technology. Following the successful integration of Exail’s Maintenance Training Device (MTD) in 2023, the school has commissioned a second simulator to provide students with an immersive learning experience in Boeing 737 flight and maintenance training.

Aircraft maintenance technicians play a critical role in ensuring flight safety by performing rigorous inspections, repairs, and system diagnostics. As aviation technology advances, hands-on training remains essential to preparing future technicians. Exail’s MTD combines high-performance hardware and software to simulate real-world maintenance procedures, allowing students to gain practical experience in a controlled environment. This approach minimizes aircraft downtime, improves retention, and enhances operational efficiency.

"Exail is proud to support Fosen High School in training the next generation of maintenance professionals," said Charles Le Bot, Head of Simulation Activities at Exail. "Our solutions offer a risk-free environment where students can refine their skills and develop a deep understanding of aircraft systems."

The new simulator, set for deployment in 2024, will enable students to practice routine inspections, complex repairs, and emergency procedures without the need for actual aircraft use. Per Inge Rønsberg, Head of the Electrical and Aviation Department at Fosen High School, emphasized the value of simulation training, stating, "This technology provides students with the confidence, precision, and safety mindset necessary for careers in aviation maintenance."

With this expansion, Fosen High School continues to invest in cutting-edge training solutions to equip future aviation technicians with industry-relevant skills.
