ST Engineering Antycip (Antycip) has integrated its advanced MyIG (Image Generator) into Merlin Flight Simulation Group’s Engineering Flight Simulators. The companies believe this collaboration marks a new milestone in enhancing the visual experience and real-time performance for aerospace engineering education.
By combining MyIG’s real-time 3D rendering capabilities with Merlin’s flight simulation systems, universities and research institutions will soon benefit from: its visuals, integration, and enhanced training and research.
The solution will enable real-time rendering of detailed flight environments, from airports and terrains to various weather conditions, and is fully compatible with Merlin’s flight dynamics and Excalibur software. Students will experience realism when testing their aircraft designs, creating an immersive learning environment.
Amir Khosh, Commercial Solutions Manager at Antycip, shared his excitement about the integration: “Integrating MyIG into Merlin’s flight simulators opens new possibilities for aerospace education. By enhancing the realism of our visual systems, we’re enabling students and researchers to have an enhanced experience in flight simulation. This collaboration takes hands-on learning and research capabilities to the next level.”
Christopher Neal, CEO of Merlin Flight Simulation Group, added: “Our collaboration with Antycip has always been about pushing the boundaries of aerospace education. Integrating MyIG into our flight simulators enhances the learning experience by delivering breathtakingly realistic visuals and creating new possibilities for research and development.”
The integrated systems are now available for academic institutions worldwide.
