Boston-based XRHealth, a therapeutic extended reality platform, has acquired digital therapeutics company RealizedCare, which focuses on value-based chronic care management through virtual services.
XRHealth provides medical XR experiences for physical and cognitive rehabilitation, pain reduction, and behavioral therapies for conditions like PTSD, addiction, and OCD.
RealizedCare, formed in 2023 from the merger of BehaVR and Fern Health, offers digital care management for chronic pain. Its integration will enhance XRHealth’s offerings, particularly in managing chronic pain and behavioral health, with the addition of a personalized care triage tool. This acquisition solidifies XRHealth’s position as the largest AI-driven therapeutic XR platform globally, according to the company.
Aaron Gani, RealizedCare’s CEO, will become general manager of XRHealth U.S. In recent months, XRHealth has also acquired NeuroReality, a cognitive training VR platform, and Amelia Virtual Care, a VR platform for mental health professionals.
