SIM Factor, a railway simulator manufacturer in Poland, has won the tender organized by the Romanian state railway operator to supply two ETCS-equipped locomotive simulators. The contract, valued at approximately 6.2 million PLN net, was awarded by the National Railway Passenger Transport Company, CFR Călători.

The multifunctional simulators will provide a realistic environment for train drivers to practice essential operational tasks, including train movement, shunting, and equipment failure scenarios. They will also support maintenance and inspection activities, ensuring railway personnel are well-prepared for real-world challenges.

This marks SIM Factor’s first contract in Romania, expanding its presence beyond Poland. CEO Michał Wierzbicki emphasized the company’s commitment to advancing railway safety and interoperability through high-fidelity simulation technology.
