Middlesbrough College has officially opened its £12 million TTE Centre, a technical training facility designed to prepare future engineers and skilled professionals.
Broadcaster and Teesside native Steph McGovern inaugurated the centre on March 20, 2025, praising its impact on STEM education and career readiness. The event welcomed Mayor Chris Cooke, industry leaders, and students eager to explore the facility’s advanced engineering workshops, process control labs, and immersive VR training areas.
The centre offers industry-standard equipment, hands-on training in engineering and process industries, and cutting-edge VR simulation for safety and operational efficiency. Middlesbrough College aims to strengthen the regional workforce by equipping students with job-ready skills.
