VSTEP has announced the release of NAUTIS Home version 0.6.0.0, featuring new training scenarios, system improvements, and a preview of upcoming features, which enhance the platform’s realism and effectiveness for users.
A key addition is the introduction of Man Overboard (MOB) training scenarios, allowing users to practice maneuvers to safely recover a person in the water. The update also includes courseware on the Learning Experience Platform (LXP), providing theoretical knowledge to support hands-on training. The chart interface now includes a button for marking a vessel’s position during an MOB event.
Radar functionality has been upgraded with a more intuitive interface and enhanced settings for Sea and Rain adjustments. Parallel indexing has been refined based on user feedback, improving the overall experience.
The Grutte Pier, a vessel modeled after the Frisian rebel, is now included. It features a traditional twin-screw propulsion system with Kort nozzles, improving efficiency at low speeds.
VSTEP has also previewed the upcoming mooring feature, expected to launch by June. The feature will be available in Freeroam mode, allowing users to moor vessels using interactive controls and physics-driven mooring lines.
Looking ahead, VSTEP’s development roadmap includes further environmental enhancements, expanded courseware, and continued improvements based on user feedback.
