UCF is launching a major faculty hiring initiative to meet the growing demand for engineers and computer scientists, aiming to hire up to 36 new faculty members in 2025. This initiative supports Florida's tech-driven economy, particularly in fields like AI, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing, as Orlando becomes a leading tech hub.

UCF's College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS), which recently reached a record 15,500 students, is positioned as one of the largest engineering colleges in the U.S. The faculty expansion aligns with the state's workforce needs and strengthens UCF’s partnerships with industry leaders such as NASA, Lockheed Martin, and Disney. This growth enhances students' hands-on learning opportunities and prepares them for leadership roles across multiple technology sectors.
